My heart is torn between East and West. I live somewhere between the present and the past. I don't know who I am.

Farewell, Rwanda
“Sadly saying my goodbyes on my last day in Rwanda, I was overwhelmed by the children running down the hill after me shouting, ‘Bye bye… Bye bye!’ Turning around one last time to wave, I took my final photo. A shutter speed of 1/80 and a large aperture (5.6) captured a sense of hurried movement among the frozen smiles of the two young boys.”

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises.” He was then asked: “From what do we give charity every day?” The Prophet answered: “The doors of goodness are many…enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one’s legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one’s arms- all of these are charity prescribed for you.” He also said: “Your smile for your brother is charity.”
It doesn’t hurt to smile, you get so many people nowadays who are so caught up in their own little world, that they completely forget about the world that revolves around them and everyone within it. Someone might really need that smile today, imagine the difference a smile can make to their day.
Smile, it’s charity =)

Dancing with Dolphins, Bahamas
“Its a beautiful thing to have an interaction with a wild animal. This pod of spotted dolphins took up an interest in us! They played and danced with us as we freedove down like part of the pod in the crystal clear water. It was a true adventure and a memory that will last a lifetime.”

Lines and reflections, Bruges, Belgium
‘This was taken near Bruges, Belgium, when I was backpacking through Europe. We were travelling through the countryside on our way to the war cemeteries and Ypres. I couldn’t resist the lines and the reflections…’
